The Big Show (6th Annual) was held at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham NC on May 30th-June 1st.  It was an event packed car show with hundreds of custom rides showing off their modifications.  I arrived at around 8:30am on Saturday and by 12:00 the place was packed!  Fortunately I was able to save a few spots for my car club, Pebble Pushers, to park beside me.  It was great to see such a variety of custom cars and trucks show up at this dragstrip!

Some of the events at this show included free test and tune runs on the strip, a sound off, and a bikini contest!  One unusual activity to participate in was the "Exhaust Off."  The Exhaust off was similar to a stereo sound off but this competition was for loudest exhaust.  I found that to be pretty cool.  If I remember correctly, I think the loudest was a domestic that reached 148 decibels 6 inches away from the exhaust tip!  I'm pretty sure that I could have blown that number out of the parking lot, but I forgot to enter my Impala in the competition before the sun got to me.  Oops!  
     As I was saying, the sun was out and the temperature was above 95 degrees and the show was held on a black asphalt parking lot.  Those unlucky enough to forget their sun-block sure felt the pain Saturday night when their sunburn started to kick in!  Although it was hot, there was a constant breeze, so you couldn't really ask for a better weekend to have a custom car show!
