  This Year's Drop Em Wear Show was the second annual show and cruise in that Drop 'Em Wear? clothing company has held.  The show entries and distance traveled has increased from their first show last year.  Honestly, it was one of my most favorite shows that I've attended this year!  Its a great show not because of the number of show vehicles it brings in, but because of the quality of vehicles it brings in and the all day entertainment held at the show.  From all of the crazy contests (see pics below), to the limbo competition, to the heavily modified minitrucks, custom cars, and Drop Em Wear Products on display, it is a great custom car and truck show that I will continue to attend!  

  The Drop Em Wear show was held in Winston Salem, NC on October 10-11, 2009 and although the rain was off and on throughout Saturday morning, it was a pleasure to be there.  I towed my Impala from Concord, NC, accompanied by several members of Pebble Pushers Car and Truck Club, and arrived at the show around 10:30 or so on Saturday morning.  I was already excited to see so many show vehicles on display that early in the morning on a rainy day!  The show is held in front of the Drop Em Wear? facility on a paved road joined by a few parking lots for surrounding businesses with plenty of room to spare.  

  I started the day by unloading my Impala, which was spotless when I left my house, only to be covered in road grime thrown from my truck on the trip to the show in the rain.  I finally got her unloaded and pulled right on up to the front with the rest of the car club I'm in and got her all cleaned up with my detailing supplies. Soon thereafter, the place was filled with custom cars and trucks from all over the country, and as far as the Virgin Islands,  that had come to show off their rides and enjoy the car show at hand.  Let me tell you, some of the minitrucks at the show were the best put together that I had seen throughout the year! The few cars that were their were all heavily modified and entertainment was outstanding.

The highly modified interior of this custom mini truck helped it do well at the show! Shaved tail lights, seamless roll pan, and wild tribal paint made me take a close look at this custom minitruck

This Chevy Blazer Traveled all the way from the Virgin Islands to attend the 2009 Drop Em Wear show and was awarded the Farthest Distance Traveled Award Custom airbrushed paint on the S-10 Blazer made it look like the front bumper was sectioned and riveted together!

The boom in this custom Blazer could be heard, and felt from far away! This orange and white custom paint really made this custom minitruck stand out.  I should also mention the turbo charged 4.3 liter under the hood!

The entire interior of this truck was fiberglassed and custom molded for all of the added features Even the bed area was heavily modified with some serious sound

An additional Odyssey battery is what I use to power the sound system, air ride suspension components, and several other accessories in the Impala SS that I built My friend didn't feel like cleaning his 24's immediately after arriving at the show!

He soon thereafter got his Custom GMC Sierra shined up with some Maguire's Quick Detailer and it certainly paid off!  Check out those Suicide front doors! The interior of this custom Sierra is still a work in progress.  I can hardly wait to see it finished off

"CHOPD UP" is an understatement!  This car won the "Best of Show Car" award. Nice work Aaron! Don't tell him, but I did see a molecule of dust in the far corner of the left headlight.  Just kidding!  It was spotless!
