If you have lowered your truck and don't
have a notch kit installed than you are probably "bottoming out" with a
because your rear axle is slamming against your rear frame rails.
When you lower your truck suspension, the axle travels
upwards closer to the frame rails. With a notch kit, you
install the notches on the frame rail directly above your axle.
Then you cut the frame rail which will give you the clearance
you need for your axle to be able to travel upwards. This
eliminates bottoming out on your frame rail because the axle can now
